The Gazza Chronicles, Part Three
Flagstaff, Arizona
We were somewhere around Albuquerque when the drugs began to take hold and Gazza finally passed out. . . . At the next fill-up, I gladly relinquished driving duties to The Wife and enjoyed my first reading of the trip before taking a very short snooze.
The longest day of driving so far, but probably the easiest with Gazza konked out. Some pretty stunning scenery between Angel Fire and Flagstaff . . . first time through this part of the U.S. The Wife and I’ve decided to take a long weekend trip to Sedona once we get settled in Laguna Beach.
Tomorrow, then: the last haul to Southern California, stopping off for the weekend at my friend Dave’s house in Silver Lake. I’m looking forward to a stiff drink soon upon arrival.
